Alliance Program

Embracing diversity in living clean and sober.

The Alliance Program is for everyone, but there is a focus on supporting the LGBTQ community through their recovery. TWC has created a program that not only addresses recovery from addiction, but also strives to dig deeper into the layers that some men experienced with their sexuality before and after treatment.

alliance_07042016The Alliance Program combines a practical working knowledge of each of the following: AA, NA, process addictions, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), SMART and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy).

The underlying message is born out of the spiritual concepts encompassed in the Course in Miracles and The Master Key System. The course is now coined as ‘CBTwelve’, a practical application of the steps in a spiritual, cognitive approach.

Residents seeking an introduction to a broad range of dynamic concepts are perfect candidates for Together We Can’s Alliance Program. Please send all inquiries regarding our Alliance Program to intake@twcvancouver.org or call Together We Can at 604-451-9854 or toll free at 1-888-940-9854.

Each week has a theme that can include:

  • Introductions / Agreements
  • Intention
  • Divinity
  • Judgement
  • Forgiveness
  • The Law of Attraction
  • The Turning Point/Wellness Week

During Process Grop Sessions, residents at Alliance are introduced to new concepts which correlate to the “theme of the week”. This approach leads clients to a comprehensive understanding of the core principles encompassed along the way.

Participants at Alliance are provided with a safe, stable, structured environment that provides an ideal forum for discussion and contemplation. Meditative practices are heavily incorporated as a form of self-reflection and decompression. Residents have access to support staff, a trained clinical counsellor, external professional therapy and nightly 12 Step meetings.
