Samantha Armstrong, CSSW
Samantha is proficient in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, SMART goals and trauma informed practices. She has attained her diploma from Douglas College, in Community Social Service Work (CSSW), and has knowledge and practice around mental health, addictions, and family structures and supports.
She also has certification from the Correction Service of Canada in Managing Gang Affiliated Members, and training from Borstal Association’s BC Trauma Care Program in Level 1 and 2 of Trauma Informed Practices.
Samantha started at Together We Can as a practicum student from Douglas College, and has remained part of the team ever since. Now with her Addictions Counsellor Certification, Samantha works with clients in a one-on-one setting providing clients with a platform for a safe space to talk. Identifying feelings and emotions surrounding trauma and grief and loss are her strengths.
Samantha’s passion for helping those who suffer from addiction comes from her upbringing, and witnessing family members go through it. She has a passion to help those see the best in themselves when they cannot and helping them see their true potential.
