Liam has worked at Together We Can since 2014. He draws from his personal background in recovery, as well as his comprehensive education, and professional experience, to provide an engaging, and dynamic, therapeutic experience for the clients he serves. Liam draws from multiple disciplines and theoretical approaches. He specializes in Group and Individual Counselling, using a Client-centred Approach to increase client’s self-efficacy and sense of belonging.
Liam is currently due to receive his Addiction Counselling Certification while concurrently working towards his Masters in Clinical Psychology. He has received training in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Trauma Informed Practice, Mindfulness Recovery, and is trained in Core Addiction Practices through Fraser Health Authority.
Liam has received training in Conflict Facilitation, which utilizes interpersonal client conflict within the group dynamic as opportunity for growth. He has also earned a certificate from the B.C. Survivors of Sexual Abuse, and is trained in providing meaningful initial interventions, and trauma containment to male survivors of sexual abuse.
